FAQ?

                                  WHAT IS 7v7 FOOTBALL?

7v7 football is a version of football that emphasizes passing and route-running. There are no pads in 7 on 7 football because there’s no tackling. The game is played on a 40-yard field and there are only two first downs. Players are downed when they’re touched below the neck.

                                                                                      HOW TO PLAY?

Starting the game-

A coin toss will determine which team gets the ball first. That team will begin possession of the ball on the 40-                    yard line with their choice of hash. A whistle will begin each game. Each game lasts 25 minutes with a running clock         The official will declare when the clock is under 2 minutes. The clock never stops, with the exception of an injury or referee          timeout. A whistle will end each game

The referees will keep the official score and time on the field for each game

Moving the ball-

Offense always starts on 40-yard line with their choice of the hash. Teams have the opportunity to earn two first downs by crossing the 25-yard line and the 10-yard line. The offensive team has three downs/chances to pick up each of these first downs. Once the offense crosses the 10-yard line, they have four downs to score a touchdown worth six points. Each play begins when the center (C) snaps the ball to the QB. The QB must then pass the ball to an eligible receiver within four seconds. If the ball isn’t thrown within four seconds, the offensive team loses the down and the play is considered a sack.

Scoring-

If the offense scores a touchdown, it earns them six points. A team can choose to go for a single point by passing from the 5-yard line or two points passing from the 10-yard line. The defense can score points by either intercepting the ball, or stopping its opponent on downs. If the defense intercepts the ball or stops the offense on downs, the ball will reset for its offense at the 40-yard line. The team with the lead at the end of the game is the winner.
